Alzheimer’s Disease and Cognitive Decline

Alzheimer’s Disease and Cognitive Decline

Neuro-degenerative disease/cognitive decline is a concern for everyone, because as we are beginning to realize, we’re ending up like our parents. The therapeutic drugs available on the market are a great failure. There is no single drug that provides any real significant benefit. Over the past decade billions of dollars have been spent on research -clinical trials without success.

A better approach is targeting multiple pathways simultaneously. Enough said on that. If you have the wherewithal this is what would work better. What is listed below helped get patients well enough to be able to return to work. It was a small study of a small group of Alzheimer’s patients, but the results were much better than what we see from the pharmaceutical products on the market as of now.

Supplementing with:
0.5mg of melatonin nightly.

Acetyl L carnitine
Magnesium threonate
Tryptophan
1 tsp. coconut oil,
Bacopa 250 mg.
Ashwagandha 500 mg
Folate
Pyridoxine-5-phosphate 50mg.
Bioflavanoids 1 gram
Vitamin E 400 I.U.’s
Tocotrienols not taken with Vitamin E

Elimination of simple carbohydrates, gluten, processed foods.

Increase of organic fruits , vegetables and non farmed fish. Non farmed meat, eat grass fed beef and organic chicken.

20 minutes of mediation and other stress reduction activities.

Increase sleep to 7-8 hours, optimize oral hygiene, fasting a minimum of 12 hours between dinner and breakfast, not eating a minimum of 3 hours before bedtime, exercising a minimum of 30 minutes 4-6 days per week.

Chelating heavy metals, mercury, lead, cadmium. That is performed by an MD that specializes in chelation. It requires a series of I.V. drips. You would need to have the silver fillings in your teeth removed before starting that process.

That is a lot of work. Probably no one on earth can do all that. Do the best you can. The supplementation routine is vital. Chances are there will never be a single pill solution so just get over that idea.
