Frequently Asked Questions About Mobile Chiropractic

About Mobile Chiropractic Services

Mobile chiropractic care brings professional chiropractic treatment directly to your location. Instead of visiting a clinic, our licensed chiropractor travels to your home, office, or preferred location with all necessary equipment to provide comprehensive chiropractic care in a setting that's convenient for you.

Mobile chiropractic treatment offers several benefits including elimination of travel time to appointments, treatment in the comfort of your own space, reduced exposure to germs in waiting rooms, flexibility in scheduling, and personalized care in your natural environment. It's particularly beneficial for patients with mobility issues, busy professionals, and those recovering from injuries who find travel difficult.

The primary difference is convenience and comfort. You'll receive the same professional care but in your familiar environment without the stress of commuting, parking, or waiting rooms. The treatment itself remains consistent with what you would receive in a clinical setting, as we bring all necessary professional equipment to your location.

Yes, mobile chiropractic care is just as safe as in-office treatment. I follow the same professional standards, use high-quality equipment, and tailor treatments to each patient's specific needs.

Anyone experiencing musculoskeletal pain, including busy professionals, seniors, athletes, new parents, and individuals with mobility issues, can benefit from the convenience of mobile chiropractic care.

No, you do not need a referral to receive mobile chiropractic care. However, if you have a complex medical condition, I may recommend coordinating with your primary healthcare provider.

Equipment and Space Requirements

Yes, I bring a portable chiropractic table that has accommodated the smallest and largest patients I've treated throughout my 43-year career. I also bring specialized therapy equipment that I've found works best for the conditions that typically prompt home visit requests.

Yes, I can work in spaces as small as a studio apartment. The minimum requirement is enough room for my portable table and for me to move around it comfortably. Some of my equipment does require access to an electrical outlet.

Very little preparation is needed. Simply ensure there is:

  • Enough clear floor space for the portable table (approximately 7' x 3')
  • Access to an electrical outlet
  • A clear path from the entrance to the treatment area
  • Comfortable room temperature

Scheduling and Logistics

I provide mobile chiropractic services throughout the greater Los Angeles area, including downtown, West LA, Santa Monica, Venice, Marina Del Rey, Playa Vista, Culver City, Beverly Hills, and surrounding neighborhoods. For locations further away, additional travel fees may apply.

Parking accessibility affects pricing. If I need to walk more than a few hundred feet to reach your front door, there's an additional charge of $25. The same fee applies if I must climb more than one flight of stairs. For large complexes like those in Marina or Playa Vista, you'll need to secure a parking spot for me, preferably near an elevator. An additional fee applies if I must walk extensive distances within a complex.

Ideally, I prefer 24-48 hours notice for scheduling appointments. However, I understand that pain and injuries can occur unexpectedly, so I do my best to accommodate same-day appointments when my schedule permits, especially for existing patients.

Treatment Information

I commonly treat back pain, neck pain, headaches, sciatica, joint pain, sports injuries, postural problems, and general musculoskeletal discomfort. Mobile care is particularly beneficial for acute conditions when patients find it difficult to travel.

Initial visits typically take 45-60 minutes, which includes consultation, examination, and treatment. Follow-up visits usually range from 30-45 minutes, depending on the complexity of your condition and treatments needed.

Yes, chiropractic adjustments can help alleviate stress-related muscle tension, improve circulation, and promote relaxation by enhancing nervous system function.

Yes, depending on the condition being treated, I may incorporate soft tissue techniques such as myofascial release, trigger point therapy, and stretching to enhance the effectiveness of the adjustment.

Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing that allows for movement. Avoid restrictive clothing or heavy layers.

Some patients may experience mild soreness or stiffness after an adjustment, similar to post-exercise discomfort. This is temporary and usually resolves within 24 hours.

Convenience and Accessibility

I strive to accommodate urgent needs whenever possible. Please call directly to check availability for same-day visits.

Yes! If multiple family members or coworkers need treatment at the same location, I can schedule back-to-back sessions. Group rates may be available—please inquire.

Yes, I provide on-site chiropractic care for businesses, corporate wellness programs, and special events. Contact me to discuss options for workplace wellness programs.

Financial Considerations

I can provide documentation for you to submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement, but payment is required at the time of service. Please check with your insurance provider regarding their policies on out-of-network chiropractic care and mobile services reimbursement.

Mobile services do typically cost more than in-office visits due to travel time, transportation costs, and the convenience factor. However, many patients find the additional cost well worth the time saved and comfort gained. I'm happy to discuss specific pricing during our phone consultation.

Language Services

Lo siento mucho. Quizás pueda hablar algunas palabras, pero he trabajado con pacientes españoles que no hablaban inglés y obtuvimos excelentes resultados. Estoy dispuesto si tú también lo estás. (I'm sorry. I may speak a few words, but I have worked with Spanish-speaking patients who didn't speak English and we achieved excellent results. I am willing if you are too.)

While my primary language is English, I've successfully treated many non-English speaking patients. For optimal communication, you may want to have a family member or friend present who can assist with translation, but this isn't strictly necessary for effective treatment.

Perhaps. Most people seem to find it amusing.
